Conic / Westrak

Conic was a Hong Kong chess computer company, active in the late 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s. Chess computers from this source were sold under a number of marketing names including Conic, Hanimex, Westrak, and Multitech. The Conic Computer Chess 7013 (Korchnoi) is a rare model, and of particular interest as one of the earliest auto sensory machines. The Conic Tracer / Hanimex HMG 1200 / Westrak CC1 were extraordinary early examples of the peg sensory type of chess computer. The Westrak is perhaps the rarest of the three and just creeps into this Rare feature thanks in part to it’s unusual design.

For the Rare section of the website I have chosen these :-

(1) Conic Korchnoi
(2) Westrak CC1
