Conchess Ambassador

This Ambassador is fully working including all reed switches, LEDs and control buttons. It has a standard program cartridge A0005747 and, despite a couple of scratches on the front edge (visible on the photos), it is in good condition.

Included are the original chess pieces, power supply and copy manual.

Tryom CC-700 Electronic Chess

A calculator style chess computer dating from 1981. Very retro. The program seems to have its origins in the Compuchess stable. The display is Boris Diplomatesque. The company Tryom Inc. also made at least one type of calculator and a Backgammon game called Omar.

This Electronic Chess is complete with box, manual, chess board and pieces as shown in the photo and is working correctly. It runs from a 9V battery or adaptor (not supplied).

Excalibur Deluxe Talking Touch Chess

Not many worthwhile chess computers have been added to the ranks in the 21st century but this is one of them. Thanks to its portability, touchscreen and stylus, range of features, 1611 Elo rating (Schachcomputer.info), voice (English, French, German), and modest price it all adds up to an attractive portable option. Unfortunately retailers no longer seem to have any for sale.

This example is in very good condition and works perfectly on just two ‘AAA’ batteries. It comes with the case, stylus and manual.

CXG Advanced Star Chess

The Advanced Star Chess is stronger than it looks. Its Selective Search Elo rating is 1589. It also has plenty of features. It’s a real classic chess computer from the mid 80s and still one of the most sought after handhelds.

This one is in good condition, though there is a small chip missing from the plastic piece compartment lid. It is working well and comes with the perspex lid and manual. It operates off a 9V battery or adaptor (not supplied).

SciSys Mini Chess

A beginner’s machine from 1981. This Mini Chess is in working order and good condition. It runs off one 9V battery (not supplied) and comes with a copy of the instructions.

SciSys Senator

An Oldie of 1981 vintage. This is the German version of the SciSys Executive.

They are quite rare, especially outside Germany. This one has been well used but is still in good condition and full working order. It uses 6 ‘AA’ batteries or adaptor (not supplied) and comes with a copy manual.

SciSys Chess Partner 4000

The Chess Partner 4000 features an unusual method for setting the level of play, a sliding lever. Although mass market beginner’s machines they are not easy to find these days, especially with the box.

This one includes the box, a set of original pieces and manual.

Good condition. Operates off a 9V battery (not supplied).

 This Elite Premiere is in superb condition. It is fully
 working and the board has no scratches, bumps
 or other blemishes. It comes complete with the
 original boxes and  packaging, chess pieces,
 power supply and manual.

Fidelity Prestige

This Prestige is in full working order and good condition. It is an early example (Serial Number 193) and therefore has the original Dan & Kathe Spracklen Prestige program from 1982 running at 4MHz, rather than the later Budapest program.  The included PC16 Openings cartridge gives it an opening book of 16,000 half moves.

In its day the Prestige was the highest rated, best featured, and most luxurious chess computer available (Elo 1688 - Selective Search). It is still a great pleasure to play against it today.
